Klamath River: A 5 day trip down the Klamath river with light rapids, bears, eagles, and the whole valley to ourselves. There are lots of great little side hikes up private valleys fo exploring. The rapids were extra fun in the pack rafts, but I preferred the leisure of the oar raft.

Ostrander Ski Hut: A beautiful cross country ski to the historic Ostrander Ski Hut in the Yosemite Valley. We had great weather with looming storms which kept the hut empty and the hill above Ostrander lake empty for some fresh turns. When it was time to leave the storm blew in and threatened to slow our trip home. There were some sketchy stream crossings, where you had to balance and slide across fallen trees with 2 feet of snow on them. Once home, one of our crew got pneumonia. Can’t wait to go back.

Death Valley: Right after the flash floods that closed many of the facilities, Death Valley did not disappoint. Moderate temperatures and camping spots to those who venture off the beaten path. There was a super bloom shortly after we left.
