Alaska

In Petersburg Alaska for July. A quiet and beautiful little town with glaciers a short and wet john boat trip away. I enjoyed the local radio station where you can call in and advertise things for sale (old rocking chairs, wood burning stoves, fishing gear, announcements, and complaints). After boating through floating glacier ice of the LeConte Glacier, we bushwhacked our way up a small valley to find a private meadow with alpine lake. There was also a wood fire hot tub overlooking the inside passage which regularly had fishing boats coming and going during halibut season.
